Pink Zebra Ninja Shoes →
lookhowshelightsupthesky:
r0bertbrowniejr:
Yesterday my mom posted a picture on Facebook of my 5 year old brother Sam wearing a pair of shoes he picked out for his first day of preschool.
She explained to him in the store that they were really made for girls. Sam then told her that he didn’t care and that “ninjas can wear pink shoes too.”
Sam went to preschool and got several compliments...

Living, Breathing, Being: Can you imagine being deaf, and never once hearing music? Or someone say “I love you”?
thatdeafdude:
liveitkelsey:
I honestly can’t fathom it. For me music has always been so huge in my life. It is my motivation, my outlet, my way of connecting with God; and to think that some people go their whole lives without hearing it… wow.

Breeding Halter Horses, a little breakdown
adiaryofadivorcee:
My family has been active in the Appaloosa Horse Club for over fifteen years. Before that, we were strictly American Quarter Horses, but chose to leave the breed for person reasons. However, at one time my uncle was even president of the AQHA.
After leaving the AQHA, my grandpa and uncle decided to go to the Appys solely because of the beauty of the breed. We love their...
Anonymous asked: I'd like to ask your opinion on an issue that seems rather prevalent. As follows: Person has difficult time selling horse. Trainer offers to take it on consignment "on the cuff," selling the horse and receiving a commission. However, instead they hang on to it as long as possible, racking up bills for feed, training and entries. The owner calls to try to end the deal, and gets...
ikilledredridinghood asked: ): I'm sorry.
pieces-of-emilie asked: Jess, PLEASE dont watch war horse. The historically realistic horse cruelty is HORRIFYING. I BAWLED my eyes out. I cant imagine you sitting through it lovely. Its a great story, but I'd rather watch people being killed, than animals..

Devastating news..
Mom waited to tell me because she knows how I get and I swear to god this has just been a wretched week.
Lexie Grey and Tugger where both eaten by a coyote. Tugger went missing last week, Lexie Grey went missing Sunday. Bits of hair found confirm this though im holding out hope that maybe its not what it looks like and they will come home.
Don’t even have it in me to be sad,...

notoriouslyychelseaaaaa asked: My mother had the same thing happen to her. They suddenly decided they couldn't tell her over the phone anymore. It turned out to be nothing, so I really wouldn't freak yourself out over it, easier said than done, I know. It might not be anything serious It could be, but at this point you don't know. Try to stay positive if you can!
Doctor's Office Called
only to tell me that they would NOT give my results over the phone and could I please come in Monday morning to meet with the Dr.
Cool.
Cool.
Cool.
I’m only going to be panicking all weekend.
Cool.
So, I texted my Dr. with “your nurses won’t tell me what I need a consultation for so could you please tell me now or percribe me some xanax so i can make it through the...
I’m on edge @ work waiting to here back about yesterdays procedure and if they found an answer.
I was told before the procedure I needed to consider “how much riding is worth” to me and “how much walking is worth” to me in 10 years. Not exactly the questions you want to answer.
How much is riding worth?
My life.
don’t make me choose.
every time i think...
lookhowshelightsupthesky asked: Sorry to keep flooding your askbox, but what do you think off the strangles vaccine?
lookhowshelightsupthesky asked: What is equine insurance? Almost all boarding places require it where I live and I have no idea what it is or how I get it (except that it's not covered under my family's home owner plan meaning I have to get it seperately). I come to you because I can barely seem to find other people who know and I need to figure this part of the equation out by early February (I know you get a TON of...

itslikeflying asked: Someone was saying that they viewed everyone who bred horses for profit as backyard breeders. This is simply not true. Many reputable show and breeding facilities breed for a profit, and because their aim is to make money they procure high-class studs with talent and confirmation to breed to similar mares. It is the people who breed 'just because' their stallion was never gelded, or they...
Anonymous asked: there is always money to be made in the horse business. even though its risky money. example for me i bought a 3 year old warmblood gelding for $40K he was spooky lazy but extremely athletic. he is now 8 shows in the hunter derbies and with out fail wins every time he steps into a ring. I bomb proofed him so a Jr can ride him and sold him to a concerned mother for $500K. I spent roughly another...
Left work earlier than planned because I couldn’t stop throwing up. I’m sure it’s stress but ugh.
Doesn’t help that they pushed my apt to earlier because it’s going to take so long.
Don’t wanna.
blahblahhshaw asked: As someone who works on a (purebred) breeding farm, but who also works at a regular old lesson facility with a bat-shit insane BYB for an owner, I would like to comment re: BYB Definition. I would classify a Backyard Breeder as anyone who does not possess a formal understanding of the science of equine genetics. You can Google 'chosing' + 'breeding' + 'stock' all you...
cupcakesandrodeos asked: i want to submit a photo to you! of my stud horse.. see what you think of him!
Anonymous asked: Well, we are not a breeding stable nor do we have broodmares. It was kind of a once in a lifetime chance - we had the extra money for the stud fee and decided to give it a go. Hickstead had a very reasonably priced stud fee, much cheaper than many top class stallions and competitive with local A circuit warmbloods as well. It is rumored that Eric Lamaze has shown interest in Hickstead offspring...
pieces-of-emilie asked: my opinion of back yard breeders are people who breed their animals for PROFIT. not because of personal reasons.
thorough-bread asked: i want to donate my eggs so i can afford an embryo transfer for my mare she's 13 never been bred and would probably die during delivery, so i mean idk how much that costs and gotta do more research but i want a foal out of her to raise and keep forever but i hope she has a filly because i just want her dna forever and ever even though its not perfect do u h8 me nao
Anonymous asked: I am a backyard breeder and I honestly felt guilty about it at first but last year I bred my Thoroughbred mare with Hickstead semen and then he passed away in the fall. We eagerly await the baby though we are upset by the tragedy surrounding his death, and also hoping it is not a genetic condition.
iridedressage asked: What do you think of breeding a horse with a flaw or two (they all have flaws, but more noticable than some others' are? Long back/longish pasterns, not severe but they are the flaws I notice?), nice colour and a great personality? I'm not gonna breed her, but I'm wondering if when I sell her I can advertise her as a potential broodmare. to me she is broodmare material but at the...
prunoandkoolaid asked: I 100% agree. I just wanted to see what you would think. I think even if a horse has a small confirmation flaw such as it's body not being 100% even, or one leg is slightly cow hocked but is perfectly calm and is a hard working animal with good body type and good muscle toning and such would you breed them?
prunoandkoolaid asked: is personality worth small conformation flaws?
adiaryofadivorcee asked: Check out my latest post-- it's a halter filly we just sold, she's gorgeous. Plus, she's going to a fantastic show home. Just another example of responsible breeding and selling to back up your slaughter argument...
adiaryofadivorcee asked: I love a grey horse like the one you just posted! (I used to be wishinhopinprayin) You should check out the Appy named Shy's Blue Boy. He just won the Iron Horse award and is absolutely the most amazing horse, even though his rider is a bit of a sourpuss. Just thought you should know about him!
tongue-tiedtight asked: Opinions on Parelli? You know, in the interest of stirring up some controversy ;)
