What do you do when people reblog your photos with negative and mean messages about the photo? I posted stuff of me riding and people have reblogged it saying that they never want to look “like me” when they ride (looking like me = fat). I don’t know if I should just ignore it or if I should ask them to think about the things they say before they post things? Because in the photo I’m riding with great posture! I’m just fat… - TheCityHorse

Honest opinion?

Call them out. I think people on tumblr forget that real people post personal pictures and their comments don’t just get sent out into empty space. Being confrontational isn’t so much the point as continuing to be proud of what you’re doing.

Your posture is excellent..maybe pick your hands up a little? that’s *all* I can think of, your leg is good and you’re perfectly balanced in the pictures I see.

People suck. I try to approach things with humor but when it comes to standing up for myself, if I know I’m right, I will *always* correct someone. If I’m proud of something I’ll keep defending it, if someone takes the time to be negative about something I’m proud of, I’ll make the time to post why they are wrong. It doesn’t have to be an argument and you certainly don’t have to be as rude as them but there is never anything wrong with standing up for yourself. ever.

you shouldn’t have to though and I didn’t know those posts were going on - I’m sorry people are such dicks- you don’t deserve that.

*my advice is 100% based on what I would do. I’m confrontational though, that doesn’t have to be your style :)
